What stays on your PC, and the little that doesn't

The short version: everything you write and everything the app records stays on your computer. No account yet, no tracking, no ads

What stays on your PC

• Your block list, your vault, your weekly schedule and your settings
• Everything you write to earn time, your activities, your journal and your milestones
• The AI's decisions about what you wrote (the AI log)
• How often you reached for something blocked, and how much time you used on apps with daily time

It's kept in C:\ProgramData\DoHardStuff and never uploaded. Uninstalling asks whether to keep it or delete it

Backups go only to the folder you choose

The AI runs on your PC

What you write is checked by a small AI model (Llama 3.2) on your own computer. It's never sent to us or to any AI company

What does go over the internet

• The AI download, once. The first time you open the app, it downloads the AI model (about 2 GB) from Hugging Face, which sees your internet address, like any download
• Sites you block. The blocker visits a blocked site's home page to find its other domains, and looks up addresses through Cloudflare's DNS (1.1.1.1). They see a request from your computer, like a visit. Nothing about you or what you wrote is included

This website

No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which sees your internet address, like any web host

Email

If you leave your email to hear when DoHardStuff is out, it's kept on Cloudflare for that only, and every email has an unsubscribe link

If you email support@dohardstuff.app, your message and address are kept only to reply. Email passes through Cloudflare (receiving) and Resend (our replies)

Accounts are coming

A free account is planned. It will hold your email, your plan and your devices, and this page will be updated before it arrives. What you write stays on your PC, unless you choose Premium's cloud backup

Kids

DoHardStuff isn't meant for children under 13 on their own. A family version, where a parent sets it up, is planned
